Job Opening: Volunteer Regional Coordinator

Hokonui TimeBank seeks to appoint a Volunteer Regional Coordinator.

This is an exciting start-up leadership role for a new Eastern Southland and surrounds “people helping people” initiative which was launched in mid-April 2010.

The person appointed will work with a highly-motivated Advisory Board and besides promoting TimeBank to the wider community, will also oversee the work of local coordinators in each area of the district.

It is desirable that the successful applicant will have the following attributes:

• Warm, friendly and an ability to make people feel comfortable,
• Good listener,
• Ability to draw people out and help members discover what skills they have that are valuable to your community,
• Create atmosphere that welcomes everyone,
• Know how to follow through and make sure people keep their commitments,
• Good community connector and networker,
• Previous promotion, administrative and people experience.

It is envisaged that initially this role will be 10 hours per week.

Expenses will be reimbursed and as support grows there is the potential for this to become a paid position.
